Will it hurt?
Physical therapy is not meant to hurt, but to relieve pain. However, as we work to restore your mobility, pain levels at times can fluctuate, as you get acclimated to treatment. You might experience some temporary soreness from using muscles that are weakened or recovering. This is a normal response to therapy treatment. Ongoing communication with your therapist will help minimize any discomfort and key to an optimal recovery. We monitor your progress on a daily basis, so the feedback you provide your therapist will be very important should we need to modify any aspect of your treatment plan, based on your individual needs.
